Our fearless leaders recently returned from a month-long stint out west following the Gem and Opal shows, and amongst the treasures they brought back with them was this little beauty that we've had cut into 2 pieces, then split both pieces.
As you can see from the photos, the colours revealed, even in their raw form, are spectacular.
Not a bad find at all.

The time has come for a sneak preview of a new range we will be unleashing in the coming months.
A result from some serious brainstorming and obversations, this range of rings and pendants features different varieties of Australian Opal, complemented by stones like Topaz, Sapphires and Pearls set in Sterling Silver and oxidised Silver highlights.

Working in the Opal Industry in Australia, it's interesting to see - on a daily basis - the look of amazement on those who are newcomers to the gem.
We also hear some 'pearlers' of stories/pre-conceived notions of what Opals look like or what they are made of, and of course, the whole bad luck myths (thank you very much, De Beers).
