Pick of the Week - March 27th

Sat 28 Mar, 2009

There's something about this stone that just stands out among all the others in the store. The colours in this stone are so vibrant, they're almost 'wet' looking. Yes, it's a very juicey stone. Read more Comment (0)

Pick of the Week - March 20th

Sat 21 Mar, 2009

Pick of the Week this week goes to a little stone that packs a big colourful punch. We've had this stone for a little while now, but the colours and it's pattern still astound me. It's not over the top, but still very bold. Read more Comment (0)

Sat 14 Mar, 2009

Diamonds have been in the limelight for far too long. The best things about Boulder Opal...

Sat 14 Feb, 2009

I have to admit, we are a little biased towards Boulder Opal here at Opals Down Under, and the following are some reasons as to why we think Boulder Opal is tops. 1. Because we are a Queensland-based store, and Queensland is the home of Boulder Opal. 2. Because it's 3. Because of the freeform shapes you get...makes for more interesting jewellery settings. and 4. Pick of the week

Sat 14 Feb, 2009

It's that time of the week again, where I show all you opalholics one of my favourite pieces that we have here at Opals Down Under. With 2 occasions happening within days of each other (Valentines Day, and Black Friday), I thought I'd pick out a dark stone with lots of red in it.
